Meanwhile, Argyle's pursuit of Austrian international midfielder Jurgen Saumel has ended. The 23-year-old, who has been captain of Sturm Graz for the four past seasons, is leaving his options open for the time being. Saumel, who played in all three of Austria's games at Euro 2008, visited Home Park for talks earlier this month. He has also been linked with a whole host of clubs in Germany and England, such as Birmingham City, Hull and Borussia Monchengladbach. Sturrock said: “He has preferred to leave his options open. “He feels he wants to leave it for a month to have a look at the market and see if there is anything out there that would enchant him. So, obviously, we move on.”
