Kaiserslautern goalkeeper Jurgen Macho has agreed a new one-year contract with the Bundesliga outfit.
The former Sunderland and Chelsea custodian put pen-to-paper on the deal despite spending his time at the Betzenberg Stadium on the bench since his January arrival.
Austria international Macho had been linked with ambitious Salzburg, but has now decided to fight for a first team place with Red Devils number one Thomas Ernst.
Macho's agent Frank Schreiner commented that he was confident his player would make at impact at Lautern next season.
"Goalkeeping coach Gerry Ehrmann thinks very highly of him," said Schreiner.
