It was a game one won't ever forget!
We were the better team the first half, but Cologne was just "cooler" in front of the goal - "goalgetter" Scherz was responsible for both of Cologne's goals.
With the beginning of the second half, the support of the engaged FCK Fans started nearly as aggressiv as the player at the playing field.
Our wonderful number 10 player Tamas Hajnal (with the number 30
) made an impressive goal by a free kick.
Now our team was absolutelly willing to score at least one more time.
They fought bravely - for the bad (international!) referee Kinhoefer too much.
He put out our central defender Karadas (normally forward) - who played in place of our captain Béda (who got yellow/red the last match).
At this very time there was a kind of crowding and the referee picked out two player of each club who got the yellow card. He was so sensitive to pick out Borbély who already had the yellow card.
So we were 9 against 11 in just one situation.
Wolfgang Wolf reacted with giving Sascha Kotysch his debut - the 18 years old defender came for forward Daham.
Kotysch made a good job like Matthias Henn who made his second match for the first team.
Well, the rest of the match was a power play - of our team!
(Pushed by the enthusiastic mob of FCK Fans.)
Cologne didn't have one more chance to score.
But we did. After a good chance by Kotysch (head) after one of the good free kicks of Hajnal, Steffen Bohl scored with his head (of course after a Hajnal free kick).
After that Cologne got two yellow/red cards.
The referee finished the match after nearly exact 90 minutes... No comment.
It was a memorable match - Fans and team celebrated it like a victory.
This is the young version of our old FCK - we are proud of our team.
They gave everything for themselves, for the club, for us!
